Trinity Christian Preschool believes in the development of the whole child: spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. We seek to accomplish this through the use of a loving and stimulating Christian atmosphere in small group settings. Each child discovers at his/her own rate of development. The child's needs will be the guide in the process. They are presented with a variety of age appropriate activities and will make their own choices.
We believe that all children deserve a safe, happy, loving Christian environment in which to learn and thrive. In this belief we offer our respect, protection, attention, and affirmation.
An important goal of ours is developing a positive self-image, which is conducive to learning. We emphasize a view of the child as a unique, worthwhile person in God's eyes, and in the eyes of others.
It is our belief that children learn through play and hands-on experiences. Play in a learning situation is aimed at a specific purpose, such as communication skills, cognitive development, fine and gross motor development, and listening skills. We want the children to learn these skills and to have fun doing so!
Trinity Christian Preschool wants to equip and prayerfully support parents in their endeavor to: Train up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old he shall not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 KJV. Teachers strive to partner with parents for the benefit of the child; parent education evenings, parent-teacher conferences and periodic developmental assessments are some of the tools used to accomplish this. Child development is fostered through a partnership with parents, teachers, and community. Partnering with parents contributes to the enlightenment, health, and wholeness of every child. The program is designed to support both child and parent through parent/child activities, parent workshops, health and nutrition education and early child-development screening. The program promotes Christian fellowship and communication between parents, teachers, and community resources. Early partnerships bridge the connection between school and family. Parents are encouraged to participate in these events and to have an on-going conversation with your child’s teacher. Together we can be positive role models and build a strong foundation of learning for your child.
Our teachers are qualified to meet or exceed state requirements; ongoing training and/or continued college-level instruction is required. Since we believe in hands-on learning, the teachers plan this Christian-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of your growing and developing child. We may have Bible stories at circle time, sing songs, or do art projects in addition to other theme-related activities. Most importantly, we will present this information to the children in an age appropriate manner that will be fun for them.
